Attorney General Jim Hood works hard for Mississippi consumers by prosecuting crimes of home repair fraud and identity theft, as well as protecting Mississippians from unfair and deceptive trade practices. The Consumer Protection Division strives to ensure that Mississippi victims do not fall prey to unscrupulous business practices and scams. Each year, our office takes thousands of calls and mediates hundreds of cases of consumer fraud and unfair tactics. Finally, General Hood’s office works to educate Mississippians to prevent them from becoming victims of these crimes.
