Jackson, MS—An employee of a retirement community in Biloxi is facing charges of grand larceny, announced Attorney General Jim Hood today.
Kistes Martin, age 33, of Gulfport was arrested at her home Friday by investigators of the Attorney General’s Office with assistance from the Gulfport Police Department. Martin is accused of stealing jewelry and money from residents of the retirement community.
If convicted, she faces up to 10 years behind bars per count, and/or a $10,000 fine, and full restitution to the victims.
Martin was booked into the Harrison County Detention Center and placed under a $30,000 bond.
The case is being investigated by Kelly Edgar of the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
