Former Mt. Olive Teacher Charged with Crimes Involving Student

Jackson, MS-A former Mt. Olive teacher/coach has been arrested and charged with having sex with an underage female student, confirmed Attorney General Jim Hood today. 

Delvarin Jarrod Milloy (age 28), 658 Elm Road, Mt. Olive, MS, was arrested today by investigators with the Public Integrity Division of the Attorney General?s Office, with assistance from the Covington County Sheriff?s Department, on two counts of sexual battery.  The crime occurred in the fall of 2005 during the beginning of the student?s 8th grade year at Mt. Olive Attendance Center where Milloy was her teacher. 

?The relationship was only recently discovered,? said Attorney General Jim Hood.  ?At this point, Milloy is charged with sexual encounters on two separate occasions with the girl,who was 13-years-old at the time.? 

Milloy was taken to the Covington County jail.  Bond has not yet been set. 

As with all cases, the charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
