FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jackson, MS–With Hurricane season in full swing, now is the time to get prepared if you have not done so already, reminds Attorney General Jim Hood.
“Mississippians have certainly learned the importance of planning ahead,” said Attorney General Hood. “Let’s not forget the lessons we have been taught. The most important thing you can do for yourself and your family is to prepare and to put together a plan before an emergency situation occurs.”
If you could use a little boost to get started, representatives from the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General’s Office will be at the following Home Depot locations statewide this Friday, September 4, from 11:30am-1:30pm, to hand out hurricane preparedness and awareness materials:
❏ Biloxi
1680 Elizabeth Blvd
❏ Brandon
200 Orleans Way
❏ Gulfport
15220 Creosote Road
❏ Hattiesburg
4100 O’Ferrell Street
❏ Jackson
6325 I-55 North
The information given at the event will include a suggested emergency supply list, information on developing a family emergency plan and resources to better inform yourself and prepare your community.
“We are so appreciative of businesses like The Home Depot for working with our office to keep Mississippi consumers informed,” added Attorney General Hood.
