Whitney Lipscomb,
Deputy Attorney General

Whitney is one of the Deputy Attorney Generals for the State of Mississippi.  She oversees the Civil, Solicitor General, Legislative and Administrative Divisions.  Prior to this, she served as the as Deputy Chief of Staff and Counsel for Governor Phil Bryant.  In this role she provided strategic counsel to the Governor on a wide range of policy and legal matters.  Whitney previously practiced law in Gulfport where she did civil defense work and regularly represented state entities.

Lindsay Cranford,
Deputy Attorney General

In addition to her position as Deputy Attorney General, Lindsay is currently a member of the Board on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Training (BLEOST) as well as a member of the Criminal Justice Oversight Task Force. She is a regular instructor for the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officer Training Academy (MLEOTA), the Mississippi Judicial College and the Mississippi Prosecutors Association, teaching on the topics of cybercrime, Fourth Amendment law, digital evidence and human trafficking.

Lindsay previously served as the Director of the Public Integrity Division and as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Cyber Crime. During her 17-year law career, Lindsay has served in the capacity of both prosecutor and public defender, including as Chief Public Defender of the Pearl River County Public Defender’s Office, one of the few full-time public defense offices in the State of Mississippi, and as an Assistant District Attorney in the Fifteenth Circuit Court District.

Lindsay received her B.A. in English from the University of Southern Mississippi and her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law.  Lindsay’s husband, Clay, is also a career prosecutor. She has two daughters.


Yolanda Nash,
Chief Financial Officer

Yolanda started her career in state government in 2012 as an audit supervisor with the Mississippi Office of the State Auditor where she led teams auditing various State agencies.  She was promoted to audit manager at the OSA before expanding her career to the Mississippi Office of the State Treasurer as the Director of Accounting, Bonds, and Financial Management.  There she managed the reconciliation of the statewide cash balance on a daily and monthly basis as well as prepared and managed the budget and cash management processes of the State’s general obligation and revenue bonds. Yolanda transitioned to the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office in January 2020 to oversee all accounting functions of the agency, as well as federal grant reporting. Prior to her career in state government, Yolanda spent 9 years as an auditor with national, regional, and local accounting firms.  She is a member of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Government Accountants (AGA), where she serves on the Chapter Executive Committee for the Jackson Chapter of AGA and has also served as Chapter President.


Michelle Williams,
Chief of Staff

Michelle Williams spent more than two decades working in law, public policy, and politics in Washington, D.C.  She served as Chief of Staff for President Trump’s Office of Management and Budget; in the offices of six members of Congress, including two as Chief of Staff; clerked at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces; and ran government affairs for a public interest law firm specializing in religious liberty.  A New Jersey native, Michelle moved to Mississippi in 2015 and worked for Attorney General Lynn Fitch as the Chief of Staff in her State Treasurer’s Office.  She holds a bachelors degree from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts and a J.D. from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at William and Mary in Virginia.


Jesse Graham,
Deputy for Administrative Operations

In January 2020, Attorney General Lynn Fitch appointed Mr. Jesse Graham Deputy of Administrative Operations for the Attorney General’s office.  Mr. Graham has more than thirty-five years of professional work experience in both the public and private sector.  Prior to this appointment, he was the Deputy Treasurer of the State of Mississippi for eight years. He has worked for the state of Mississippi during the Allain, Mabus, Fordice, and Barbour administrations in various roles with the Mississippi Development Authority, the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, and the Mississippi State Personnel Board. He has worked for two fortune 100 companies and has been a small business owner in Mississippi.

Mr. Graham has a B.S. in Business Administration from Mississippi State University with an emphasis in economics, management, and real estate.

He has lived in Jackson, Mississippi, with his wife Helen for the past thirty-three years.
