Address Confidentiality Program
If a victim moves to a new location to escape domestic violence, sexual abuse, or stalking, the Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) can help the victim in their attempt to keep their address confidential. When a victim becomes an ACP participant, their first class, certified and registered mail is sent to a secure substitute address and then forwarded to their new home.
The ACP participant can also use the ACP substitute address for a variety of state and local government requirements, such as:
- Getting a Mississippi driver license
- Registering to vote
- Enrolling their children in public schools
For information on how to apply for this service, contact the Office of the Attorney General’s Address Confidentiality Program at 1-800-829-6766.
